Roman Gavryliuk is a composer, musician, and sound artist. His fields ofactivity vary widely, from multidisciplinary performance and audio-visual installations toexperimental sound recording and sound design. His current interest focuses on theinteraction between movement and sound, finding ways to relate the sonic content of spaceto the changes taking place in its physical properties, and the impact of these processes onthe audience or participants. He takes part in a variety of projects and collaborations andhas performed at venues such as Herkuless Hall (Munich), deSingel (Antwerp), KunsthausGraz etc.Originally born in Kyiv, Ukraine, he held a degree in classical music performance as aviolist in P. Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine. Since 2018 Roma continues hiseducation as a violist in the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, combining it withcomputer music studies at the Institute of Electronic Music and Acoustics.
