The format of the residency offline under today's conditions is impossible, because it is difficult to form the target audience, it is technically impossible to establish close contact between participants in collaboration duets, bring the necessary exclusive equipment, foreign partners and fulfill the planned technical preparations.







According to the initial plans, within the framework of the ROOMS project, creative work was planned in the bomb shelter of the Meter to organize and conduct various activities of the residence—concerts and installations, work with equipment, collaborations, etc.







As of today, in line with wartime challenges, the wider use of the Meter bomb shelter is in demand. In addition to using the bomb shelter for its intended purpose, as a protective structure during bombings and air raids, there is a popular place for the safe conduct of various events, such as concerts, performances and other mass events.







During April, we carried out basic preparatory sawork of the repository for such events, reached agreements with cultural institutions of the city and region on holding performances, concerts so necessary today for both local residents and temporarily displaced persons who were forced to find themselves in Zhytomyr region.





Thus, it was decided to adapt the ROOMS project to the challenges of today. Over the coming months, a series of video lectures on the theory and practice of working with 3D sound and with existing virtual sound copies of acoustic rooms will be created on the basis of the Institute of Electronic Music in Graz.
